10 if instant 3NT. Attacking lead against confidently bid game.Top of internal sequence. 8 if 3NT after a pause.Dont want to blow a trick.

Spades, for me this would be the 5.

But the form of scoring does matter,
although not much.

Playing MP, you may choose to go
passive, which would mean hearts
or clubs, and if I would choose to go
passive, I would choose hearts.

9 = promising 10+1H or 98xx or 9x for me

In MP, I could also go for a passive

Then I hope you won't find declarer with Qx opposite Jx. Small is the certain way to block the suit if it's wide open for five cashing tricks.

10 for me.

On balance, a low spade is better than a spade honor. I'm leading a spade at IMPs and a heart at MPs I think.

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Pard won't considering ducking with A-5th? I would.

I hope we agree that if you lead the 5 the defence can never take five tricks. If you lead the 10 (or 9 if that is your agreement) at least you have a chance of getting all the tricks you are entitled to.

agree. I'd lead the 8 if I felt like I needed to go against the field at MP's, otherwise, 9 .

The entire hand...I was declarer and have 8 tricks. Lead of ♠ gave me the 9th trick .That is way I refuse to lead where I have a K if I have another option.
If he leads 6♥ I have the chance to play bad, wich I did it
It is strange for me why all prefers to lead ♠
