Anyway, the relevant point is that Y said "down with", not "down on".
Personally, I think that he was being sarcastic, saying that the only reason X should have bid 2♠ is if he thought that 1♥ was a transfer. But at face value, it's saying "I'm ok with playing transfers".
Also, why was this moved to General Bridge Discussion?
It looks like it's about bridge... but not really

Could a moderator please explain why this thread, which is not about bridge at all but is about grammar, was moved out of the water cooler to a bridge related thread?
