The answer to #1 and #2 is the same -- you do not go out of your way to reverse. So, open 1♦. So far so good.
Now, partner bids 1♠. Bid 2♣. If partner passes, this is probably right. If more should be bid, he will usually at least be able to make a courtesy correction of 2♦.
Without any special connventions to handle this problem, your auction seems fine.

You should be aware that there are divergent opinions as to how to handle 5-5 hands with clubs and spades. Some people insist on opening them 1 club, others 1 spade, and others still will have it depend on the strength of the hand. So never is not necessarily accepted fact, but merely an opinion of that poster. The fact that I share that opinion should not close your mind to the other methods available.

i always thought reverse shows strong hands with @ least 5-4 distr.

open the higher ranking suit with 5-5. Opening clubs and reversing would show longer clubs than diamonds.

If something, you could take a rosy view and bid 1♦-1♠-3♣, but the spade void warns against being frisky, so 2♣ is good.

the length of the suits you hold
#3 2C - heavy, but sometimes you
hold a maximum hand, if you dont
like 2C, bid 3C, which would force to
game
I would replicate your auction, which is
nothing to cheer about.
If your partner holds 8-9 HCP in his hand,
he should try to keep the bidding alive,
this is usally done by giving preference
to diamonds, even if he holds 3 clubs and
only 2 diamonds.
Only if he holds 2 more clubs than diamonds
he should pass clubs.
With 4 clubs and a ruffing value and 8/9 HCP
he should raise.
With kind regards
