Dealer is S, with no opponents bidding.

2C - 2S
2NT - 3C
3H - 3S
4C - 4H
P

2C = 18-19 Bal
2S = puppet to 2NT
3C = simple stayman (planning to smolen)
3S = agrees H's (only bid to agree H's), slam interest.
4C = cue

Who should have done more?

I think south needs to make another move, he is totally primed out and has a doubleton. His trumps are bad but given all his aces and kings partner must have something there.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

If North's 3♠ showed slam interest, then South has a huge hand, far too much to pass 4♥.
Don't see that North can do any more.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

is rkc (4NT or 4♠, whatever) over 3♠ that much an overbid?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

The 5th level seems pretty safe, so.....
Partner's bid of 4H denotes a problem in the Diam. suit in which we hold the Ace.
Of course we can bid ask for keycards now but I would think 4S as a more sensible move (it shows the Spade Ace and a Diam. control) because our hand is all about aces and kings, and those values are easier for partner to find out about if that is the case.

Please note that partner can still hold

KQxxx
AQxx
xx
QJ

This hand makes 7 cold but only partner can tell because we won't have ways to find out about those golden Queens of his.
It all makes perfect sense, expressed in dollars and cents.

Agree - I think South needs to do something else and 4♠ looks best (This hand wants to answer, not ask if keycard is an option). Furthermore, the lack of a diamond cue is good news. Should 4♠ promise a diamond card? Good point to discuss.

I can't see North doing anything more.

Absolutely right.

I'd add that South has first-round control of every suit (except trumps). If this is not an acceptance, when will South move?

It is a misbid, with this hand you want partner to rkcb since he can then learn all about your hand.

I agree South has to go on, 4 keycards is quite a lot for an 18-19 balanced hand, the other king is working very well, too. In fact this looks pretty clear to me.

you said 3S is the only bid to agree H or is it at least slammish ? If its at least slammish south cant stop before 6H (4 keycard +a supported K +doubleton). If its not slammish then you just spotted a problem with your methods.
