Scoring: MP

(1NT)-Pass-(2NT!)-Pass
(3D)-Pass-(Pass)-3H
(4D)-??
You play MP's. RHO opens 1NT 15-17.
You play multi Landy and could have bid 2C for the majors, but -Vulnerable- you are not strong enough for this.
LHO bids 2NT, transfer to Diamonds and RHO bids 3D (This is not alerted but you know that 3C would have shown an accept of a diamond invite).
Partner balances with 3H and RHO bids 4D (not sure if his 3D bid was wrong and should have been 3C or if he is overbidding now).
What do you bid? (Would it be different at other vulnerability?)
Thanks,
Koen

Pass without really thinking. If we're fav. I'll think then pass. If they're white I'll think more and will bid on a good day depending on the opps.

pass, pass, and more pass. if partner really had a hand he could have interfered at his first chance. seems to me best case scenario is undoubled down 2 vs a part score.
I constantly try and "Esc-wq!" to finish and post webforum replies.

My partner just took a big risk, and it paid off.

Why would I want to ruin it?

Pass.

Partner reopened, i.e. he has already bid some of
your values.
Take away a King, and what is left?
Maybe the 4th trump, but he will need this card to
make 3H.

Bidding now is just punishing partner.

With kind regards

pass, for all previous reasons plus the fact that opps are in no-man's land :(

Bidding on is against the principles of balancing. Partner passed first, and lifted them 1 level after they tried to signoff at 3-level. Bidding now is just suicide...

Agree with Frederick. Pd did very well to balance; why punish her?
