I've just read the following post on rgb:

Subject: Scuttlebutt re: Chinese Women's BAM Team

This is all hearsay for now but I am hearing that it was discovered
that the Chinese women's BAM team that came from out of nowhere to win
the event by eight boards was the subject of an investigation and that
text messages among players, coaches, kibitzers, etc. were discovered
relating to the cards held by the players.

Has anyone got any info as to whether or not this has any substance to it?

I bidding the suit below the suit I'm actually showing not to be described as a "transfer" for the benefit of people unfamiliar with the concept of a transfer

The people who I think actually know anything about these matters have told me theres no substance but it was all the rage in San Fran to spread this rumor so most people probably think it does have substance. Pretty sure it doesn't.

I saw the same posting:

I sincerely hope that anyone with real knowledge has the sense to keep their mouth shut. I don't think that the world needs more cheating scandals being prosecuted in the court of public opinion.

They won the event by 8 boards. Good job!

It would be difficult to cheat at BAM - the boards are played at the same time as your teammates!. I suppose if you had another team in the field you could be wired somehow.

I hope this isn't the Jordan I'm thinking of that posted this on rgb.
