Scoring: IMP

In 3rd seat you open a Fantunes 2 and all pass.

Lead is a to the Ace, small back which you ruff. to the Queen holds the trick, J is covered directly with the King by East who you know is an expert, Ace.

Now what? (opps didn't help you with signals)

Q followed by a second looks right, expecting LHO to be something like Kxxx xxxx ?xx Ax or Kxxx xxxx ?x Axx. If he holds only 3 and his partner holds the K, I will go down. If trump are 5-1, I think he must hold Kxx xxxxx Kx Axx for me to make.

My first instinct is small to the T and then run the J. Not sure though.
The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

my plan is to lead a club to the jack. I expect LHO to take his ace this time, and play 2 more spades, upon which I will discard diamonds. I can no longer be forced, and if LHO plays another club for his partner to ruff, it is probably his partner that is long in trump, so I can safely overtake the jack of hearts (assuming a diamond to the ace next) and play out my other ones, winding up with 5 hearts, 1 diamond, and 2 clubs for 8 tricks.

That was my plan, 1 down when the SHORT trump hand ruffed the third <_<
Small to the 10 first would have worked.
