I just read on the ACBL website that Paul Soloway died today at age 66 of complications from an infection.

EDIT:

I apologize. I just saw that Paul Soloway actually died November 5 - last Monday. I did not see anything about it before today. The ACBL website says that he died on Monday, and I assumed that they meant today.

i had the privilege of kibitzing paul soloway at a regional tournament. he was playing with alan sontag. i asked him a question about a bid after the session . . . i was absolutely thrilled and impressed with his gracious and in-depth response to my question. the bridge world has lost a great bridge player and person.
