After trick one, you were down. However, the opponents could not find their tricks on winning the diamond in the North hand.

Still, you have only 8 tricks and no source of a ninth. You cannot afford to duck another trick, and the opponents have no pitching problem. Eventually, they will take at least 5 tricks.

I think I would duck the opening lead. Biggest chance is that N has lead away from ♠KQ.
