Just wondering what you play against the Multi in these situations. Opponents' 2 opening is either a Weak Two or a Weak Two or certain strong hands. In response, they play 3 as invitational with supporting values in both majors.

(1) (2) - pass - (3) - ?

(2) (2) - pass - (3) - 4 natural
  (pass) -  ?

I would play X as take out of Hearts, just because I always play take out doubles.
I would play 4 Diamond as natural and gameforcing, but I doubt that this view is mainstream. Another idea is to play it as non leaping michales (Spades and diamonds) and bid 5 Diamonds with a good diamond hand.
Kind Regards

Whatever you play against a 3 opening.

If 4 is natural I would play 4M responses as natural. Whether it should promise a 6-card or just 5+ I don't know.

My agreement is to defend as if opponents have a 3-opening. This means that 4 is two-suited + and GF.

3 as invitational is a strange agreement...

(1) dbl = t/o of ; 3 = t/o of ; else natural

(2) 4M = cue

Right. I would no trust that to be the agreement unless I've heard it from both opps.

What I usually play is in direct seat we bid like it's a 2 opening, while in 4th seat we bid like when opener will pass.

In this case, we consider the auction 2-p-3 like it went 2-p-3. So Dbl is takeout with short .
