I'd prefer 2 and double now.
Having doubled first I'll still double now.

X=7
5=2
pass=1
4=0
Kind regards,
Harald

I prefer 2C on the first round, but either way I double 4H now.

After I doubled and 4 HEart comes back to me I regret that I forgot to bid 2 Club first, but I would double now again
I would rate X 10 5 Club 8 anything else 0.
Kind Regards

Hi,

#1 Dbl is ok, you are strong enough
to sell the hand as singel suiter with clubs
#2 5C
Regarding the other options:
Pass, a bit cautious, but ok
Dbl, would show some strong bal hand, so is out
4S, how many cards to I have, 6?

With kind regards
Marlowe

I fail to see how bidding 2 before would be such a great situation. Partner will play us for better clubs than the double/double route but worse spades (probably just three), and the spade situation is going to be important more often like when he has Kxxx. Personally I think a double the first time is clear, and the second time I hate that partner will probably pass it so much but there is really no alternative at that point.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

partner had:
xxx
QTxxx
x
xxxx
I DBL'ed first and passed when 4 came back to me. LHO had xxx.
4-2 while 6 for us makes. At the table I considered 5 but was afraid that both 5 and 4 would go down. Now I think a 2nd DBL is best.

Prefer 2C first then x later.
If I X'd first, then X 4H also.

We agree and I prefer double to 2 the first time with 4 nice and so much playing strength.
