South, you are playing 3
♣ after the following auction (all standard agreements):
1
♠-2
♣-P-P-
2
♠-3
♣-all pass
The bidding may be questionable, but the contract is the contract.
The lead is a high spade pip, won by East with the King. A second spade is played, East following with a low spade pip. East now plays the diamond Queen.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
