Request about linx files

Hi all
As you know, BBO is going to broadcast Vugraph
from South American championships (beginning
today) and then Canadian champs.
Unfortunately, I'll be pretty much on the move
this week, so chances are I won't be able
to watch much of it. So, I humbly request,
beg and beseech the enlightened BBO friends
to keep this precious vglog.linx files and send
me a private message, please, to let me know.
Nikos Sarantakos
PS
The Danish championship finals were broadcasted
here a couple of months ago.
I stumbled upon the Vugraph data which can
be found at:
http://www.netbridge...ph/slutspil.htm

Hi, Nikos !
I tried the link
http://www.netbridge...e/VuGraph/(very *friendly* personspil.htm ??????)
but couldn't access to that Danish Championship.
I found something which looks like the files at
http://www.netbridge...ph/slutspil.htm
(clicking on the "resultater" section)
Links are :
http://www.netbridge...ph/2003BS1.html
http://www.netbridge...ph/2003BS2.html
http://www.netbridge...ph/2003BS3.html
http://www.netbridge...ph/2003BS4.html
From those Web html pages I could extract the four .lin files.
Regards.

Sorry.
I try to post the correct link
"www.netbridge.dk/bridge/...."
with "/slutspil.htm" after "/Vugraph" but the forum software writes "/friendly etc....", a nonsense !

Sorry again !
Impossible to write the correct link !
The forum software ends the link as it wants to, with "friendly....etc....".
Are we in Wonderland ?
Erkson
PS : also impossible to edit the message or delete it !

I got it now !
In the correct link there is a word in Danish language., of course. This danish word (s***t) as the same spelling as an offensive english word !
And automatically the forum software replaces what it believes is an offensive word !
Computers believes they are clever enough ! As a matter of fact they are unable to distinguish a normal danish word from an offensive english word only because they have the same spelling !
The correct link is
http://www.netbridge...h/s***tspil.htm
It is not :
http://www.netbridge...ph/slutspil.htm

Hi, DenisO !
As you know, when you visit a Web Page -in this case the ACBL Vugraph Page- all the files you visit are copied in what is called the "Internet Explorer Cache" of your PC (c:WindowsTemporary Internet Files).
There are several softwares which read that cache and have a "save" function.
If you have not that kind of software, you can use the "save as..." function of your Internet Explorer. Perhaps it will create a file on your hard disk and copy in it the web page and the accessories (.lin files etc...).

Thx Erkson for your suggestions - I've saved the web page in various forms (html, mht, txt) but I cant find any lin files in my windows/temporary internet files folder.
No matter - :)hopefully BBO will provide us with a lin file archive in the near future. Then we could pull files down onto our hard disk and peruse games at our leisure without the expense of being connected to the Internet (Yes in the UK being connected can be expensive)

Hi, DenisO !
I could be useful for you to study "Offline browsing".
There are some information here :
http://www.creutzberg.com/olr.htm
A freeware :
http://www.crevola.com/about/
A software with 30-day free trial :
http://www.evolve.co.uk/unmozify/
Good luck.

Hi, again, DenisO !
I tested and can confirm that -with the right cache settings of Internet Explorer- you will find the .lin files in your
c:WindowsTemporary Internet Files
1. Visit the danish site, click on the link to display the first session.
2. Don't quit Internet Explorer
3. the .lin file is in c:WindowsTemporary Internet Files
click on :
fileopenbrowse (attention : all files, not only .html)
and you will see : 2003BS1.lin
4. copy and save the .lin file
Good luck.
Erkson
PS : the file will stay in your Temporary Internet Files, or it will be deleted, when you quit Internet Explorer, according to your settings.
But that's irrelevant because with this procedure you will have it copied and saved.
Study hard your Windows !
