Defended this 3N the other night. Pard led the K♦ (asking for unblock / count). Being a good pard, I gave count at T1 with the 8. Declarer stripped out the black suits and threw pard in with a diamond.

The hand could not be defeated from this point forward.

There isn't a lesson here, but I think it was a very interesting position.

I KNEW there would be hands on which udca was a disaster!

My grandmother could and would have beaten this hand. Well, only if she were S. As North, she would have cashed her diamonds from the top, and then been endplayed ;)

LOL. Another loss for FUDCA.

You didn't think signalling with the 6 would put out high enough wattage? That was the one entry to your hand, pal! You threw it away! AWAY! :)

Seeing all the spotcards below the 6 should make one wary of the danger making the normal signal with the 8.
