Weak opps. You are dealer and hold:
KJx-x-xxx-AKJxxx
1C-(p)-1D*-(1H**)
2C-(2H)-P-(P)
??
*: you play transfer Walsh. 1D is transfer to H
**: 1H was bid immediatly. You did nit have the chanche to alert 1D before it was bid. You alert and tell RHO that he can change his bid if he wants, but he does not want to change it.
Your general agreement is that all DBL's are negative, but here it seems that H distribution is known for everybody. So DBL would mean: I don't want to defend 2H undoubled. (Probably same if partner would have DBLed).
- What is the max partner can have for his pass?
- Do you DBL, bid 3C or pass?

I think I'll pass. They say you cannot pass out 2H at mps. I can.

Partner has about 6 to 10 points, and may or may not have a club fit or a diamond suit. I pass.
Sorry, but this is just wrong. Players should never make rulings at the table. That's the director's job. Call him, and then explain that your RHO bid so quickly that you didn't have time to alert (besides, the out of tempo call gives UI to his partner, which the TD should also explain).

I have come to realise it is futile to expect or hope a regular club game will be run in accordance with the laws. -- Jillybean

I did pass and 2H was -1.
3C makes or +1.
Passing out 2H gave a score of about 20%.
...Still not sure if partner had to bid more or if I had to DBL in balancing position..

It seems pard could have done something more over 2♥.
Double doesn't seem like action to me - it seems like: they've bid my suit and I'd like penalize them - or at least suggest a penalty.
2♠ would be an overbid with a 9 count and partner denying 4♠. Depending on the texture, I'd raise to 3♣ or pass maybe.

Qxx=QTxx=Kxxx=Qx

He should raise you to 3♣, you didn't have to bid 2♣ over 1♥ and he knows they will pick up his hearts opposite your singleton or void. If you passed out 2♥ then this one is not your fault.

#1 Partner can still have inv. values.
#2 3C.
#3 And Double by partner is certainly not neg.,
it is a penalty.
He already did tell us, he has a 4 card suit,
and he cant have found suddelny heart shortage.
I also did deny 4 card spade suit, I could have bid
spades.
With kind regards
