A novel... about bridge?

This book is a novel basically about the world of bridge (no hands etc). I had a similar concept a while back to do something like this and am glad someone did. He includes names of people that are real, and also includes real stories, sometimes giving people assumed names. I even saw a couple of stories about me LOL (though my name was not mentioned thank god).
Anyways I think things like this will go a long way in attracting new people to the game similar to the recent documentary.

Well, the Wall Street Journal doesn't play bridge yet, and if the novel would achieve in getting mike777 seriously interested in bridge...

From what I have read about it, the book isn't really a novel but rather a first hand account of one player's bridge experiences. Sort of like Word Freak was to Scrabble.

If the book is anywhere near as fun to read as Word Freak, I'll be very happy.

As I tell them, bridge players need to find at least one other person on the planet that they can communicate with: Scrabble players are under no such restriction.

Why not call it "My other, older woman"? That would make it sound a lot less like a collection of bridge hands than the actual title.
