With a weak nt do you have a more stringent criteria for shape than with a strong?

If you are playing a natural 4crd or 5crd major system, it just happens that a weak NT is better defined. A 5m422 in your NT range can give you a serious problem (after 1m-1) if you are playing a strong NT, but not if you are playing a weak NT (rebid 2m). A 6m322 with a bad suit in your NT range will also give you a problem (after 1m-1any) if you are playing a strong NT, but not if you are playing a weak NT (rebid 2m). Then there is the issue of opening 5M332 with 1NT or not. Simulations have shown that opening this 1NT when playing a weak NT leads to more bad results, then when playing a strong NT.
