interesting read at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19318124/ concerning inducing hypothermia in certain cells in order to gain the time to operate... i also found it interesting that dogs that had been clinically dead for up to 3 hours were "brought back" by temporarily substituting a saline solution for their blood
