Actually, at this point you always go down 2 if south started with 3-4-2-4. In that case you had to cash the club king first. If south was 5-4-2-2 he could have pitch a club for -2 so you just have to assume that he started with 4-4-2-3.
So if he pitches a spade, you cash club king and two high spades pitching a club, ruff a spade, ruff a club and ruff a spade low, south must give you the last two tricks.
If he pitches a club, you cash a spade and ruff a spade, go to dummy with the club king and pitch two clubs on your spades before ruffing the last one low.
Did I misplay earlier by cashing the heart ace before unblocking the club king?
