A. Standard is 15-17, sometimes a bad 18.
B. Standard is around 11-14. Some play a bit lower (10-12), others play it dependant on what 1x was (for x=♠, for instance, it can be 12-16).
C. Standard is around 15-18. Some play it as a weak 2 suiter on the unbid suits.

A. A good 15 - 18 (some would say 16 - 18)
B. Depends on whether x is a major or a minor
over 1m, 1NT shows ~ 10+ - 13
over 1M, show ~ 11 - 16
C. If you play 1NT as natural, which many do (I do)
1N shows a very good 15 to 18

A. If opps suit is a major (especially spades) the upper limit is somewhat higher because the alternative is to double followed by 2NT, which is not very attractive. If opps suit is a minor, the alternative is to double followed by 1NT. Therefore. when I double 1♠ I might have a decent 19 points, while when I double 1m I have at most a modest 18.
Points counts are less important for a 1NT overcall than for a 1NT opening. Suppose RHO open either 1♥ or 1♠ and you have:
KJx
Axxx
KJx
KJx
This is a fine 1NT overcall against 1♠ because you have probably two spade tricks and chance of setting up a length trick in hearts. Against a 1♥ opening, you have only one heart trick and no length in other suits - the heart length is worthless unless your x's are better than RHO's.

The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket
