I would have bid the same except for a pass instead of 2♦ at North's 2nd turn. I agree with North's takeout double, but I'm not bidding again unless forced. I'm not even sure I would correct to 2♠.

Standard bidding for 2♣ cue bid is to ask opener to bid his 4 card major. Therefore, I would bid 2♠ as North on second turn. This does not promises anything special, while free bid of 2♦, can be interpreted as good hand (16+)with 5+ diamonds ( looks pretty unlikely on the bidding)

I like the bidding, what was wrong?
Okay, 2♦ had not been my choice, because 2♣ asked me to bid my better major, but a good pd won´t misunderstood my bid, so no problem.
Rest was just fine.

Interesting question if North should pass, bid 2♦ or 2♠ at his 2md turn. I think pass is pointless. You have two things to say, pick one of them. I think my choice would be 2♠.

I wouldn't bid 1NT as East with this scoring and vulnerability. Either pass or 1♥.
