Playing 4 card Majors, partner opens 1H and RHO Doubles. What do you bid with this hand:
J4
52
KQ95
Q9763
EDIT: we are Vulnerable, they are not, it's a pairs (MP) tournament of 30 games and you're scoring slightly above the 50%, halfway.

Pass and my next bid going to be some number, either 1 or 2, of NT. Showing Minors.

Pass looks like the standout bid.
I don't like 1NT with a 2 suited hand.
The club suit is too weak for 2C.
Change the hand slightly to
J4
52
Q953
KQ976
and 2C would look more attreactive

Pass. If I bid 1NT on this auction it is a transfer to 2CLUBS and tends to deny major support (well, I don't have major support but clubs are not good enough). If I had the hand richard showed with KQxxx of clubs, I would bid 1NT (which most here might bid 2C instead to show same).

Pass. I have some sympathy for 1NT if natural though I wouldn't bid it. RDBL on 8? Maybe if you're playing old fashioned Roth-Stone where opener probably has 14.
I like the treatement of 1NT transfer to clubs. If we were playing 2/1 would use it here, intending to correct to 2H showing the "KS raise" with a doubleton. The whole Capp/1MX structure has much to recommend it. All you lose is the ability to play in 1NT (which 2/1 players don't have anyway if they pass).

It seems to be a clear pass situation, but I didn't want to pass (as usual). So I bid 1S to keep opps from playing Spades (if possible). My LHO saw through me, but luckily my RHO didn't, and we ended up playing 3C by my teammate. We made it because the deffense blundered so partner could discard a Spade, and we got a top
Partner's hand:
Qx
QJ109x
Ax
K10xx
Complete bidding:
1H - Dbl - 1S - Dbl
2C - 2D - pass - 2S
pass - pass - 3C
