Pd and I agreed 1M-2M to show 5+oM+5+♣, at most 6 loser hand.
What do you reckon the best structure would be after (1M)-2M-p-2NT?

If you are playing tops and bottoms; 2N functions better as some sort of specific ask, or even natural.

3♦ as agreeing the major and asking seems obvious. With a minimum, partner signs off. With better, partner cues or shows shape.
If 2NT is not natural (my choice would be natural -- use 3OM as club-focused asking bid), then it should logically agree clubs, with 3♣ a minimum and anything else extras, again cuebids, but expected to be notrump-centered while below and unless bypassing 3NT.

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
