In brief, I won't get talked out of my normal bid.

I agree with Justin here. Partner will stretch to bid game on a lot of marginal hands and we know where is the king of clubs. Seems 3NT is more likely to make then 4H, but we can not bid NT with those diamonds.

2NT, which is certainly at least as good as
3H, you show the club stopper (he could be
a lot worse) and you show you 2 card support.
With kind regards

maybe i am wrong, but how we can pass with 10hcp in 2nd round without a bigg misfit and not value cards (like Qj alone, or stiff K). Also i have 2 aces wich means more than normal 8 poitns counted. Looks 2NT is easy bid here, 2 small hearts are possible with this bid and i show club stopper and not bad hand (6-8). Partner will know i have spades and clubs and can decide between pass,3NT, 3H or 4H.

Actually I think pass is the swinging action, in the hopes that your teammates didn't overcall 2♣ at the other table in which case this hand would raise.
Well I should edit and say 2NT is also swinging of course, but that I mean pass is the safer swinging action, since on a bad day notrump can go really wrong. Of course it could strike gold too on the perfect layout.

After the posts, I am with the 2NT.

Can we not bid or try for a game that requires a defensive error sometimes at imps?
I just know JLall or Jdonn have bid to some game at imps sometime that does not make on double dummy defense or bid game in a major when there were less than 10 tricks on proper defense.

Very close decision. I would have no serious objection to a partner who bid 3H and went off in four...So long as he bids all the sub-prime games.
I don't see ignoring the auction as a good thing.
I just failed to consider the merits of 2NT until I read the arguments.

I passed. Much of the field was in 4♥X making, and that was the result at the other table. Maybe our opponents would have found the defence to beat it!

Help

1♥-(P)-1♠-(2♣)
2♥-(P)-?
