why can't copy text from chat window?

can this software copy text from chat window? I want paste on other window. I think this is a simple and important improve.

but you are unlikely to see this happen in the
version we are now working on.

A suggestion if you don't wish to type the text all over again is either copy in advance or open the BBO folder and copy it from the chat.txt file there.
