To those who would like to play 1♦ - 2♥ showing both majors (5♠ 4♥) and think: Hey, but what do I do with 6 - 9 HCP and 6+♥, the hand I used to bid 2♥ with, here's a solution:
1♦ - ?
* 2♦: 6 - 9, 6+♥/♠ (yep, Multi 2♦
* 2♥: 6 - 9, 5♠ 4♥
* 2♠: Forcing ♦ raise

I have a novel idea: with 6-9 HCP and 6+ in a major, respond 1M, then bid 2M if possible.

Yes, why not just respond at 1 level in your major? Your structure is probably playable but is very bad for the diamond raise, there is no room at all now.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

And it also removes the WJS possibility

I think he probably meant the following:
After 1D,
- 1M = Normal, including 6-9 HCP with 6M
- 2D = Multi-WJS (0-5 with 6H or 6S)
- 2H = Reverse Flannery
- 2S = Diamond raise
Not saying this is good, but it's better than what he wrote..

No, I think he meant what he wrote
And it seems fine to me, apart from the 2♥ bid maybe

Perhaps an interesting alternative structure to reverse flannery is to simply play weak (but constructive) jump shifts, and let a rebid of the original major be an artificial force in some auctions. So for example:
1♦ - 1♠; 2♦ - 2♥ would be NF
1♦ - 1♠; 2♦ - 2♠ would be an artificial forcing bid
The reasoning is that when responder holds something like 5-8 points with a 6+ card major it is very frequently the case that you want to play in that major at some level. One of the awkward things about reverse flannery is that sometimes neither major is really an acceptable place to play, and then opener needs to be able to distinguish the "I have a natural 3m jump rebid but am not game-forcing" hand from the "I am 1-2-7-3 with a garbage minimum" type hand, neither of which is happy to pass/correct for a major suit contract.
It also works okay to play 1♦-1♠;2♦-2♥ as "non-forcing but up to invitational" since opener raising to 3♥ on 4-card support is normally safe even opposite a minimum (especially as this sequence can promise either a 4-6 shape or extras, since a minimum 4♥-5♦ hand probably rebids 1NT over 1♠). The only hand where opener "really wants to pass" is something like a 1-3-6-3 pattern, and then typically the "misfitness" means you have trouble making a game even with 24-25 hcp.
