Having finished one tournament, one may join another before the results appear. My experiance was that results from the first vanished before I finished the second! :)

Can you find a way to log/leave the results accessable for a "reasonable" time ? Thank you :)

Thank you, but logging in to the Index, I am unable to open the files - I have XP-Win /Office 2000.
What do you suggest?
:) Kirsten

Ther is a place somewhere here in the forum where it says what to do.

I will seach an post a link.

:) EUREKA ! Robert "hotshot" led the way - I saved to file & opened the file directly. He also told me of the ref.: http://bridgebase.lu...-bin/history.pl where I could see my +/- results!
Thank you so much, also to J.Goold.

Lovely Christmas to all

Please see http://www,bridgebase.com/myhands.
There is a link for they tourney results page (in the notes), and what is required to open the .lin files automatically (basically, tell your browser to open them with the NetBridgeVu program)

I have today run this tourney:

http://69.56.183.98:81/tourneyresults/Sun_...rica__~1~66.lin

If I open the file from WEB-location - BridgeVu opens with this picture:

If I download the file and open from my own computer BridgeVu opens with this picture:

I have these file-settings: LIN + LINX files always opens using BridgeVu

What is my problem that not opened in same way? The download way!

There is no problem really :)
When you click on the reference to your tourney, a box opens that asks if you want to a) open :) save c)... d)... Click on SAVE and when that's done - the box is still open - proceed a n d OPEN. Now the result file is shown! Voila sagde Greven! :)

Yes Kitta I see that - but I still wonder why the same application can have such a different approach depending opened from WEB or from own PC. But OK now I know.

----------------------------------------------

Another feature - the new semi-automatic substitution procedure I was unable to get to work. It looked like nothing happened when I clicked a name - both the red(missing connection) and the substituter. I needed to handle the old procedure. What is the procedure? It is difficult to test in action where time and correct handling is urgent.

I had much fewer substituters today than I normally have. Is it so that the substitution list now is for each tourney? I think I remember something of that to come. That might be awful when I from january intend to re-start tourney´s aimed for Asia/Europe time zones. By that time I mostly have experienced 1/3 af the participants to have severe connection problems.

----------------------------------------------

For Uday - I needed to disconnect twice due to bad tables where cards didn't download. Looked like some of the players have had disconnections too at the same time as me.
