Can anyone comment on who is running China?

Who are the top leaders and what do they stand for?

China's leaders run a dictatorship by committee.

They are no longer communist or socialist, in spite of the Party's name retention. They are closer to Fascism.

There are substantially worse governments than China's, but they are still pretty bad.

A friend of mine, whose family is Vietnamese, of Chinese ancestry, says that China has a huge chip on its shoulder, due to millenia of great history, and the (by hostorical standards) recent humiation by the West, particularly Britain.

They've been relatively "mind-their-own-business" until fairly recently.

That may change, and not for the better.

Never heard of Running China - what channel is it on? Is it better than American Idol?
