Muhammad Yunnus is an economist from Bangladesh.
He is also a 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner.
He has invented the micro-credit, for very poor people.
He founded the Grameen Bank, which now serves 58 countries worldwide.
But only women can take out a loan..
I read his book.
It is outstanding !
This man is revolutionary I guess.

There was a good article in Scientific American a year or so ago. He was even on The Daily Show last year.
His idea was humane and sensible.....AND ECONOMICALLY FEASIBLE! Imagine that.

It is excellent the Nobel Prize Committe' has excessed their power to focus one of the main obstacles for development. It is no new discovery that his idea is based on but the new thing is that he has focussed the idea a way for all countries to walk along.
The idea to help families via loans in small economy scale has for many years been one of the key stones for development aid programmes from the scandinavian countries.
