How the world get changed from somekind student's homework (the creating of the computer virus) to disaster :)
Some company earned a fortune for that :)
Well i istalled AVG too after conversation in that topic. So for no problem and the regulary updates are quick and small

I tried SpySweeper for anty-spy, but not free for regret <_<

The latest version of AVG 7.5 is crashing my Windows 98 PC. So, at the moment I have no anti-virus software.

Depend of your PC's RAM. So far i installed this version of AVG(including XP and 98 ) for tests on few computers. With 128 at least i think that won't feel lazyness during startup and working after that.

Thanks, but my PC has 384.

No the symptoms are odd:-

boot the PC, windows starts, then the PC reboots itself and windows starts in safe mode, saying it had failed to start successfully on previous load.

Anyway, I'll give Avast a try, thanks Miron.

As an aside, I recently received an email from a friend, defining the top fifty oxymorons in the English Language.

Number 1 was ----- Microsoft Works
