Hi,

I thought we could have 1 more section after hitting "Main Bridge Club". Something like "Tables _ to E" "Tables F to M" "Tables N to Z" something like that to ease navigation.

Right now during peak hours we can have 100-180 tables easily. Quite a bit to scroll if I want to visit a friend at table Mowhakwi or something..

Woof!

same applies to the lobby - have you ever tried to scroll to "zorro"
when ~1500 visitors are on? :)
I usually open with 13 cards

We are going to have to do a major rewrite of
the interfaces of both the lobby and the Main
Bridge Club.

Not sure when we will get around to it and what
we will do exactly, but this is a fairly high priority.

I'm afraid I did not anticipate the 1000s of users
and 100s of tables when I designed the current
interface - sorry :)

Have another idea to ease navigation :

Maybe you can have 2 columns for scroll bar : one is normal scroll bar, the other, just beside it is a narrow strip with alphabets on them.

something like that. clicking the a or b or c will lead you to all the people's name starting with A in lobby, or all the table host name starting with A at main bridge club.

I think this could be easier to do than my first suggestion....

this represents a very substantial deviation from both the prevalent Windows and Mac GUI specifications. While the idea itself is interesting, I think that it would be a mistake to customize the GUI in this manner.

While agreeing that it is non-standard (and hence should probably not be done), I like it. It would mean the members who chose login Ids with non-alphabetical first characters would not be indexable -- fine punishment for silly games.

Y, needs more work, but fwiw, you can use the

right
left

cursor keys to quickly navigate thru the list of names in the lobby.

what do you think of the clubs (private, public, or both) having another button that shows its members, kinda like the ones now that show those entered in a tourney and those seeking partners for a tourney?

i thought of this when i went to walddk's 2/1 club earlier... it would have been nice to see who the members were, so we could maybe get together and go over some of the things he's teaching
