Hi,

I got some interesting situations from a recent tournament and I was wondering if anyone wanted to try them. Got enough for 1 poll (8 hands), maybe 2.

I was thinking of scoring our choices according to table result they would be likely to lead to, and then compare that to the actual matchpoints from real play.

The catch is I don't have much time to do the book keeping :( Anyone up for it?

Well, I might find time within like 2 months. Then I could do a poll and gather/process the results. Before that only if someone volunteers to do the spreadsheet work.

I can do the spreadsheet work. I once did a poll properly, but received lots of criticism for the way I allocated scores. This should avoid that.

The spreadsheet takes about 1/10 of the time it takes to type up the hands, doing the analysis, combine comments, and score.

If you don't have time for the 'bookkeeping', do you really have time for the poll itself?

With a google webform the spreadsheet should be about 20 minutes of work. Total.

Ah that's great. The scoring may be criticized, but the method is objective: it's the MP result the choice will lead to.

Well, I was under the impression the book keeping would be more time-consuming. As it is I'll try and sort out the hands this week end.

Thanks. Am I posting the hands on here as well? I'll put them up tomorrow night if so.
