We subscribe to this dubious tournament (ie totally open, unknown TD).

Round 2 begins and the bidding commences with no delay.

2♣ (strong)-3♣-
3♠-3NT
4♥-.......... (pd looking at his minor 55)

about 20 seconds pass...

"LHO has requested TD"

after 5 secs

"TD now at table"
TD: bid pls

after another sec

p: thinking....

after 5 more secs, p is substituted! He sent the lad a few "sub me back in right now!" messages, but all he got were a few "sorryyy" answers. What do you think of all this?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I guess I'd ask for my money back and try to avoid this game in future.

I don't see much point in posting it here.

Personally I find this more offensive than the TD's behaviour.

How about "sorry, thinking"?

There are enough situations where connection drops with no notice - or someone has to go away and forgets to mention - that *with no comment*, I find the TD's actions reasonable. Not great, I will admit, but reasonable.

If, however, the partner did "say" something during the think - well he's entitled to his time. If a board has to be adjusted for that round, you get the A-.

I agree with cardsharp's comments. The "sub me back in right now!" messages also seem very unfriendly.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
