We had been hoping to make an official release by now, but for various reasons:
- translations are going slower than we had expected
- bugs reports have slowed down significantly, but are still too frequent for comfort
- more caution than usual due to the big changes we are introducing
- my absense for 10 days starting tomorrow during the ACBL Nationals in Hawaii (yeah I know - poor Fred - life is tough)
we have decided to remain in testing mode for a little while longer...
If there are no bugs serious bugs found in 4.9.9 and if the translation files for some of the major BBO languages become available, there may be an official release during the next week. Otherwise it will likely have to wait until late November when I get home.
4.9.9 has no new functionality - only bug fixes, but please upgrade and let us know if you find any problems!
Most likely I won't be checking e-mail while I am away so it is best to either post bug reports to Forums or to e-mail Uday.
Thanks to the many people out there who have helped us so much with testing. Please keep up your good work! Hopefully we will get this right soon as I would really like our official release to be numbered 5.0.0

I suggest you use the first method, but however you do this, please make sure you exit the BBO program COMPLETELY before you start the download process.
