This came up in a TG today, I was West and perpetrated probably one of the least impressive auctions of all time, but the bidding is not the point of the hand.
I just thought that the hand was mildly interesting because, while both 6
♠ and 6
♥ fail on a
♥ lead, 6
♠ is also down (but not 6
♥) on a
♣ lead - both making on either
♠ on
♦ lead.
The play to 6
♥ on a non-
♥ lead is interesting. It looks to me as though you need to discard
♠ not
♣ on
♦A, and ruff all the low
♣. That seems counter-intuitive. I wonder if there are layouts when that line costs.
