Consider the auction (All V, MP, LHO dealer):
1 - Dbl* - 1NT - pass
2 - 2 - 4 - Dbl**
pass - 4 - 5 - ?

(* = 15+HCP any distribution)
(** = is considered takeout with some values, which partner may convert to penalty)

You hold:
Scoring: MP

- What's your bid?
- Do you consider pass as forcing or not?

The problem here is that partner doesn't know about our 4 card spade support, which I should have shown on the previous round.

As a result I now have no choice other than to pass.

If I'd bid 4 last time it would be a closer problem.

Having failed to show spade support last round, I have to bid 5 now. I just hope partner doesn't treat it as a cue-bid for hearts.
