I recently made up a schedule in Word using a table which I had hoped could be used as a notice in the Beginner/Intermediate Lounge News.
I understand that this is not translatable to a lin file.
Is there a solution to this problem?

No problem - give your text to Maureen and she will add the text to her file 'club news'. Then you will see your text in club news - and that is a lin-file.
A more flexible solution may be to upload a normal web-site and let Maureen upload a link for that site. Then you will be able to modify the text without involving Maureen.

Word uses some nonprinting characters that mess up lin files. Simply save it as "plan text" or cut and paste it inot notepad and save it as text and it will work in lin files ok. Of course a proper lin file has some text commands that is probably not in your the file you created. So the solution is to email it to Naureen as klaus suggested.
