 Who are the opponents? I am missing the entire heart suit, yet RHO did not raise his partner. Unless RHO is playing a very deep game, partner does not have the classic pattern for his double. This implies a strong probability he has high card extras. I think 4 sets the stage properly (give or take a small spade or so) regardless of his hand.

I am not too worried about playing a 4-3 spade fit, since partner very likely has a heart card to serve as a stopper. He may well be 4-3-3-3 or even 4-4-3-2/4-4-2-3 with 16+ HCP. If spades turn out to be 5-1, the hand might play OK as a scramble.

Since I have only 8 HCP, slam seem remote unless partner really comes alive.
