I created a BridgeBaseOnline ID over a year ago, "jmg1"
and had not used it since. Yesterday, I downloaded and updated
my BBO software and tried to login and got the following
message popup:
"Your log in request has been refused.
User (nameremoved9 has been barred until 2006-09-14 15:02:28
Reason: Contact abuse@bridgebase.com"

I sent a note asking for help to abuse@bridgebase.com
last night but got no response, so I tried your forums. I
tried to login using "jmg1" but it did not work, so I reregistered
as "jmg1bbo" and I could log in to the forums, but no one else
had described the same problem (searched on "nameremoved").

Given the newly registered ID, confirmed after receiving the
email and usable enough so that I could log on to the forums,
I tried to use NetBridgeVu again, but got the same error
message. I checked my firewall (Norton Internet Security
and there are rules permitting NetBridgeVu to access the
Internet and I added a special rule for access via port 9999
to bbo.bridgebase.com (as on the install or FAQ page), but
still no dice.

Can you please help? I'd like to try playing at BBO
again, so would appreciate your help. Thank you.

FYI, problems with BBO should be posted in the BBO Support Forum. This forum is for support of BridgeBase products other than BBO.
