Scoring: IMP

This is kind of a silly hand, I'll admit, but can anyone give an intelligent auction to 6 hearts? I'm mostly interested in a standard bidding framework, but feel free to post auctions using any system you want.

1 1
2 2 (that much is obvious)
2 3
3

I think north's holdings in all four suits, especially Kx of clubs, are so great that he is simply good enough for keycard now.

South might have instead bid 2 over 2, which would certainly make it tougher.

Is 6NT down? I think you have lots of squeeze possibilities... :P

Dunno how to reach any slam without relays, and even with them it's not easy unless North is asking. :)

Hi,

I doubt that you will have a fair chance
reaching 6H in a standard bidding frame
work, at least not on the table.

No real fit, and no wastage,
the Jack of hearts fits, the Queen of spades
and the spade doubleton fits, and so on.

1H - 1S
2C - 2D (1)
3D (2) - 4NT (3)
Pass (4)

(1) 4th suit, inv. strength or more
(2) max., no 3 card spade suit, no 6 card heart suit, not 5-5
asking for a diamond stopper
(3) Diamond stopper, add. strength
(4) no add. values

With kind regards
Marlowe

I would assume, that 3H shows real heart support with
slam interest, and I dont think Jx is good enough to send
this message.

Well 2 shows six. I had south choose it since the suit is so good, but honor doubleton is easily good enough to support.

If I had the 'death' 2524 hand with no diamond stopper (like this minus a heart honor), I would bid 2. I tend to raise with three, and support on the third round with a doubleton with no reservations.

It's true I chose an auction were every makes the right views, but it seems realistic enough.
