I would open 1♦ with an easy rebid of 2♥ reverse here
I can understand the 2♣ opening but I have been caught out too many times by creating forcing bids for my partner

Serious Suggestion #1.
Do not open this hand 2♣. Open 1♦ planning on making a reverse in hearts.
Serious Suggestion #2.
Having opened 2♣ and magically heard you partner find a bid in hearts (yes 3♦ was forcing, so could still be broke), you are estatic. Partner didn't try 3NT so probably doesn't have wasted whatever little he has in spades. You might try 3♠ cue-bid on the way to 4♥. Partner will no doubt bid 3NT over 3♥ and pass 4♥ so you are back were you started.

I would open 1D and reverse into hearts (except partner bids hearts first, which is a pity because hearts played by West is a better spot)
By the way, 6H is no picnic. To start with it needs diamonds 2-1, but you also have some interesting problems in the heart suit. You ruff the spade lead, and cannot afford to play ace and another trump, or they simply play a second spade at you. So you play a low trump off. They win the king and play another spade, and you now need trumps 3-2 as you have to ruff with the ace and overtake to draw trumps. That makes the contract 52%, I think, only just about with the odds.
Alternatively, if you are declarer hearts by East and North has both the club and heart kings, they can simply lead a club at trick one and you are off.
