Would pd interpret 4D as a splinter in support of clubs? If so, that is a possibility.

The "correct" bid with this hand depends a lot on specific agreement.
Some players will bid a very slow 3♣ to show a good club raise. Other players prefer to invert this agreement and play that a fast club raise shows a good hand.
