USA won the gold, silver and bronze medals in the mixed pairs at the World Championships in Verona, Italy.

1. Karen McCallum - Matt Granovetter 59.28%
2. Jill Levin - Bobby Levin 58.75%
3. JoAnna Stansby - Lew Stansby 58.47%

Next events are the Rosenblum Cup (open teams) and McConnell Cup (women's teams), both starting Tuesday. See Vugraph Issues for details.

Somehow Gran and Karen must have solved their 'worlds apart' preempting styles.

Very consistent performance from McCallum- Granovetter; 3rd after 1st session, 2nd after 2nd session and top after final session. Tremendous show in a pairs event of this quality!

Yes I will be very interested to see how the Roth Stone style meshed with Karen's. ;).

i think it's more than that... i know that pamela, and i think she persuaded matt, consistently takes a free bid after having opened with a preempt if she thinks the hand warrants it... most play that after they preempt they say no more unless forced

IMHO Elisabeth Hugon's (?) partner is not JJ Palau as written under some photos, but French Champion Frank Multon.
So "Elisabeth Hugo" might be Ms BACO Laurence.
