I've only read two books that really discuss rubber bridge: Skid Simon's 'Why You Lose at Bridge' is an all time classic that should be read by everyone but it does not cover the monetary aspects of the game; and Robert Sheehan's The Big Game which is about the £100 game at the TGR club in London - this should be read by Money Bridge players

With respect to the BBO Money Bridge, an interesting comment from Sheehan:

The Big Game - Robert Sheehan said:

An outstanding player in a weak game can make an average of three points an hour over a long period ... And most rubber bridge games are too tough for even the strongest players to win more than one to two points an hour.

A (UK) point is 100 points (so going down one vulnerable).

Of course, winning £100 per hour is a reasonable return (!) but Sheehan reckoned that only 10 players in the UK made a living at rubber bridge as there are just not enough poor players willing to play these rates

Given that GIB is not a weak player it will be interesting to see if the Money Bridge players agree with Sheehan on the returns.

Sheehan also says that Zia was only allowed to play for £50 a point on the £100 table because he won so much -- maybe Fred should do the same for you
