♠pic (not a hebrew word)
♥Lev
♦Yahalom
♣Tiltan
I seem to remember a different word for spades, but don't remember what (my hebrew isn't that great). Something like "alleh". I'm not sure, though. But I had never heard the word "pic". I totally believe you, that people use it, but my grandparents were sticklers for not substituting non-hebrew words, so I know that they used something else, if only I could remember what it is.

You remember correct, many use "alle" and sometimes "alle Shahor"
alle is a leaf
Shahor is black
The problem is that clubs are also kind of a leaf (which is called tiltan), So this name isnt that great.
Whist players use pic for spades, bridge players use the english terms.
