Presumably the in the western hemisphere well feared Forcing Easter Macho-NT. S passed because 9NT wasn't available (called TD, complained and vanished the in space).

S: pass (best bid in whole auction)
N: 1NT (typical I'm much better than you, so i should be declarer 1NT)
S: 3NT (seems to know about partners bidding style, or simply plays the usual few boards top or bottom stragegie)
N: 6NT (if you have 10-13 HCP, i play 6)
Does .... mean the inavoidable punish 7NT?

They both got what the deserved.

IF all stands right, the whole thing is fishy, isn't it? Perhaps 2 individuals playing in the same room or each of them in a PC laboratory?

This does not look like cheating, rather it seems that BOTH had at least two drinks too many.

Still needs a black suit squeeze after that?

What should one think of this auction??? It's ridiculous by both North and South, no need to waste any time on that... ;)

It depends on what is mentioned with "spade king onside"....

Probably a bit better than 25%. Assuming the diamonds can be brought in, either a spade Q with E or a 3-3 spade split will bring in 3+2+5+2 tricks. If the spade Q is with W and the spade suit is 4-2 there is still an unlikely squeeze (again assuming diamonds run). As to the diamonds, besides the 3-2 or 2-3 king onside there is also the singleton ten with E. Or the diamonds might be 5-0, so you will know to run the 9 on the second round, bringing in 4 diamond tricks and then perhaps a squeeze (although the double squeeze centered on hearts can be killed by an opening heart lead and a heart continuation after the spade is lost). Since the real world is an unjust and heartless land, I suppose this makes.

There ARE systems where 1NT is a strong, forcing opening. Romex, for example.

1) Pass: spades 2+1, hearts zero, diamonds zero, clubs 3 and spades 3 points. That is 9 points. Pass.
2) Pass: I don't even know what cards I hold, better not risk bidding. Pass.
3) 1NT: woweee.. so many points. two no trump. click click. 1NT.
4) Pass: I am no better than my partner, plus I don't want to be blamed.
5) 3NT: Aah, 9 points against a 1NT opener, and look at those spots. 3NT.
6) Pass: Mums the word.
7) 6NT: Oops. Misclick bid 1NT. better bid a grand now. seven no trump. click click. 6NT.

In fact, I was happy to play such a board and to have possibility describe it here! At least three contributions-responses made me laugh and formed interesting story, I can spread all over. Isn't this a reason, why we also play bridge?

1nt makes absolutely no sense... 6nt does, but i might not play anymore with the 1nt opener - unless he said he missed an ace somewhere
