4S. I have seen this played as a really good 4S bid, so I'll hope from my hand thats how CHO means it.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Without any agreement? In a new partnership?
I'd bid 4N (for the minors) and start thinking who might be a better partner B)
There should be plenty to choose from

Is there any chance it might be natural? I might be tempted to pass.

4NT for the minors. If my new pard is brave enough to try for an undiscussed bid, he'll probably have more than 1 suit.

Makes sense, no? At least I think so B)

I don't think it can be natural when you have 3 and opener has 5.

So, a very good 4 bid, a giant 3-suiter ... ?

Making undiscussed bids like this can't be productive. One thing is sure, if I collect a zero, that won't be my fault !

Let's go with 4NT to continue in the same vein LOL

Well, that's assuming that North hasn't psyched his 1H opening.

Also possible is that North/South play 4 card majors, in which case partner has something like AKJxxx and a good hand?

My guess looking at my hand is that partner has a good 4S overcall.

4NT.

Partner has a very distributional (but not strong) hand with spades and a minor and is willing to preempt them to 4 or 5m immediately.

Same as immediate 1M - 4NT - Unusual NT, preempt to 5 level.

I don`t belive in ral hearts and a psych from north. In that case, pd should wait and bid later.
I don`t believe in a giant one-suiter,in that case he could have bid slowly.

I do belive in a strong two-suiter with spades. Seems easy. So 4 NT is my bid too.
Kind Regards

Roland

I'm with the 4N bidders. The question becomes what to do over 5C/5D by pard.

I also think this should be a strong(ish) two-suiter (or really freakish distributional 7-0-5-1, 7-6, 661, etc). Weaker, less distributional hands, could have simply michaeled.

My inclination would be to pass 5C and raise 5D to 6. However, it also depends on who my partner is. :D
Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
