Suppose you play precision 11-15 5 card major, you have a great 1M openeing and this must be good when the opponents interfere but if you are a (stpupid) 2/1 player like me you dont really know how to use this advantage, you only know to follow the law and be in the right law level.
Where is the limit advantage show it power, what extra considerations should i take when partner is limited.

Limited opening bids are great fun...

Once partner has opened, you are (hopefully) in a good position to place the hand into one of a few clear categories

Competing for part score
Inviting Game
Game forcing
Slam invitational +

Moreover, you're also well positioned to understand whether the opponents can make game.

Ideally, you should be able to use this information to make life as difficult as possible on the opponents. Many of your responses such as 1M - 4M can be very wide ranging and dangerous to bid over.

Right. With my regular partner we use this bid very liberally. It is VERY hard on the opponents.

One reccomendation would be to play 1H p 4H 4S X= I want to bid 5H if you have a normal preempt, but want to defend 4S X if you had a more high card based 4H bid (and less shape based). This has worked well in alleviating the pain of guessing on this common auction.

I highly reccomend this treatment.

My system philosophy is quite is quite different from standard limited opening.

our suit openning are 12-14 or 18-22 always unbalanced or 6322.

All our 2+ level X are bloodthirsty semi penalty (partner can pass with 3-4 in their suit) must bid with a stiff or 2 .

as for opener ... with a stiff he bid or pass (showing 12-14) but cant double. With 3 in the opps suit and 18-22 he X (again semi-penalty)

responder can make many NF bids.

and make wide range preempts

(bid 3M with 6-11. bid 3 1 step under our M with 0-5.)

1h----2d---???

here he can X (optionnal with a 3 trump 9-12 knowing we dont have game and opener can have 3 trump and a stiff in clubs or spades)

2h (0-11)

2s is to play (0-11)

2nt power take-out or clubs

3c take-out non-forcing

3d preemptive without value

3h preempt with values

3s forcing

1h---2d-----pass-----pass
???

here X show a big hands with 3d.

2h 6h 12-14
2s not a reverse
2nt h + C not suitable for a X
3c h+ C weakish

For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."
