1) pass
2) Pass we are vul and I think my Kx of d is a negative for opening a weak 2 bid in first or second seat. Mr. Conservative.
3) Great discussion on opening leads. Thanks to all the forum posters.

1. Pass. Bidding is desparate and indicating your partnership's ability to defend better than the field.
2. Close but I'll try 2♠. 4 baby hearts isn't a flaw. I will hold my breath the 1st round of bidding with this QJ-yuk suit.
3. OK I'll try a club. Sure pard didn't whack 2♣ but he might have 4 decent ones. Pard also could have whacked 3N with a serious spade stack. And its matchpoints, so I just want to find a trick source somewhere, anywhere...

1. obvious pass imo.
2. Partnership issue, I don't mind 2S but would not bid it when playing with Ben.
3. Difficult, a club or a diamond. Agree with ♦Q at IMPs.

Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
