Hi I was wondering if there has ever been a board on BBO where all the tables got the same result. So many times I get these hands where I think "this one should be flat" but I've never seen any board with more than 15 equal scores out of 16.

Anyone seen one?

I've seen one once, flat all the way for 420. I was amazed, usually someone passes it out or something ;)

I looked through myhands for the last four weeks. Granted I play more team matches than in the MBC. The closest I had in that set was this board:

http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands...rname=echognome

Two hands made an extra overtrick, otherwise 14 the same. I'm sure if everyone looked in their myhands database we'd find one.

I guess that would mean that we played as well(?) as the field???? ;)

Speaking about oddity, we could begin a contest with the biggest differences between the best NS score and the worst NS scores. And i m sure we would always be beating the records day after days ;)

We will start with one easy assumption, you don;t mean to include team games (since they are on BBO) in this. .hehehe. We will furhter stipulate that you don't mean small tourneys. So let's resrict this to Main room events (16 tables).

Using BridgeBrowser, this is fairly each to check. First, switch to main room database. Then select to display only view one table per hand. Then search for several 1000 hands (just a few seconds). Then sort by "points". In matchpoints you are looking for ones at 50%, in imps, at 0. Then click on those hands and look at the traveler (which is displayed complete with bidding and card play). You can limit the search to a single day, or a range of days. Or just to find the first 10,000 hands (less than a day, btw).

Doing that you can pull these up fairly quickly. So the answer is yes, there are such examples. Here is one...

I thought I would post this one, since pass out have to be fairly rare at all the tables...Using BridgeBrowser to filter though millions of hands, it looks like rate of flat boards appears to be about 1.7 hands per 10,000.

The biggest difference I've seen in an BBO board was only 4720 points. Both scores were about 20 IMPs in the Butler.

7xx = vuln (2980) opposite 7X = (-1740)

I remember that I had:

AKQxxxx
-
-
JT9xxx

Red versus white. On many tables the auction started something like:

4 Pass Pass 4NT
5 5 6! 7

Now the roads diverged. 7 can be beaten after a Lighner dbl, those scoring -2980 didn't understand for which suit I guess. Against 7 you need to lead and not to beat it.
